This help file summarizes how to create your own frequency
data files for use with IONSOUND programs.
For IONSOUND STD and IONSOUND PRO versions, a total of 128
prestored frequencies may be utilized in a file called
ION_FREQ.DAT. This file can only be created external to
the program and requires storage in an ASCII mode. The
frequencies inputted to the file can be in decimal or integer
format and need to be separated by commas or by CR-LF
separation on a line by line basis. Additionally, the value of
'0' must be the terminating character to indicate the end of
the file. The range of the frequencies can extend from 1.8 MHz
to 54 MHz. Examples of these are as follows:

For the IONSOUND HDX and IONSOUND HDX TURBO versions of the
program, the ION_FREQ.DAT file can only contain 9 frequencies
ranging from 1.8 MHz to 30 MHz. No terminating value of 0 is
required. Additionally, the ION_FREQ.DAT file can be created
from within the program when individual frequencies are chosen
for storage. If the ION_FREQ.DAT file is created manually, then
these same rules apply. The name of the file must, however, be
called ION_FREQ.DAT. Examples of these files are:
